Send a single CDB to a storage device
busTRACE 7.0 allows you to submit a Command Descriptor Block (CDB) to any of your storage devices. Choose from one of our many pre-defined CDBs, or create your own custom CDB. View detailed CDB decoding and/or the raw hex data transferred to or from your device.

busTRACE 7.0 insulates you from the complexity of building and sending your own CDB to a storage device. Using our easy-to-use interface, you simply select the device you want to submit a CDB too, find the CDB you are interested in sending, and then analyze the results. You can choose from our large list of predefined CDBs, or you can build and send your own user defined CDB.

busTRACE 7.0 uses SCSI Pass Through to communicate with your PC's storage devices. These include your CD/DVD/HD/BD devices, hard drives, tape drives, jukeboxes, flash drives, optical drives, and more. No kernel driver is required or used by busTRACE in order to communicate with your CDB capable devices.

Our CDB decoding engine will graphically decode for you exactly what is sent to the device and what is returned from the device. No more having to search the device specifications for what the data indicates.

You can save the results of the command execution to a busTRACE capture file. This allows you to share the results with other users of busTRACE 7.0. Alternatively, you can simply copy the decoded CDB image to the clipboard or save it to a BMP, PNG, TIFF, or JPG file.

Key Features
Send a Command Descriptor Block, with a single click, to your storage device(s).
Build your own user defined custom CDBs to send to your storage device(s).
See detailed analysis for the executed CDB including a fully decoded CDB, any data transferred, any sense data returned from the device, execution time, and more.
Save the CDB results to a busTRACE capture file to share with others. Another user of busTRACE 7.0 can then load in the capture file and see the results of the CDB execution.
Configure busTRACE 7.0 to loop on the selected CDB a specified number of times. For example, want to send 1000 Inquiry CDBs back-to-back, simply adjust the Loop Count and resubmit the CDB.
