When sharing busTRACE capture results with other engineers, the best way to share those results is through the busTRACE capture file. If they are an owner of busTRACE, they will see the capture results as you see it and they will have access to all the busTRACE analysis features.

What do you do if that engineer does not own busTRACE? You could direct them to the free reader. Alternatively, you may want to use the Export feature. While only able to show you a subset of the results viewable within busTRACE itself, the results can still be useful. busTRACE supports several different export formats.

To export busTRACE captured I/O activity, simply select Export from the File main menu. You can alternatively select the I/Os to export in the I/O Capture List, right click and choose the Export option. This latter method allows you to export only a subset of the captured I/O.

Choose your desired export format and then click on the Next button.
